What's involved?

Initially a local meeting will be organised, this is an opportunity for me to share the subject of your portrait.

Once a commission has been assigned, a time/location will be arranged for me to make the necessary sketches and photographs.

I usually then work in my studio (if a sitting hasn't been requested) documenting the progression of the painting through photography.

On completion you will have a unique and true charisma portriat of the individual.

How long does it take?

I normally work in my studio until I am satisfied with the result. The time frame is variable depending on the commission. It can take from 1 month to 4 months depending on the size.

Do you work from photographs?

I can and do work from photographs.

Will you travel abroad?

I am happy to travel abroad to meet you.

How much does a Portrait cost?

Each portrait is unique, so it is difficult to give an accurate price due to the medium, time and the canvas size. Prices will be specified within the first meeting with starting rates from £600- £1000 depending on the size of the canvas.

Payment?

A non-refundable deposit of 30% is payable when the commission is agreed. The balance is due on completion.
